BFGoodrich rolls out wiper blades for off-road vehicles

GREENVILLE, S.C.—Cutting through dirt and mud is an everyday occurrence for Michelin's BFGoodrich brand all-terrain tires. Now, the tire maker is tapping its off-road knowhow, applying the design of its T/A KO2 tire tread to help clear windshields for better visibility.

BFG has introduced BFGoodrich Off Road wiper blades, designed especially for trucks, Jeeps, SUVs and 4X4s. The blades' rubber element is made with the company's Weather-repel and Scrub-X technology to clear rain, snow, mud and dirt.

To give the wipers a more "rugged" look, BFG said, it incorporated a tire tread design into the wiper's frame.

"Whether faced with mud, rain, snow or grime, the BFGoodrich Off Road wiper blades are built to improve visibility in the toughest conditions," the company said in a statement.
