MELKSHAM, England—Avon Rubber P.L.C. has signed a contract with the U.S. Department of Defense for the supply of M69 aircrew masks.
The contract is worth $21 million and deliveries are expected to be completed in the current financial year, ending in September, Avon said in a statement.
Separately, Avon said in early March that its protections business had been awarded a four-year contract to supply the U.S. Army with body armor plates.
The company said it already has received an initial $20 million order to supply X-Side Ballistic Insert (XSBI) body armor plates to the U.S. military, with deliveries starting in early 2021.
Part of its vital torso protection range, the XSBI plates are developed by 3M's ballistic-protection business, which Avon acquired in January.
