ARPM offers seal design course in Columbus

INDIANAPOLIS—The Training Academy of the Association of Rubber Products Manufacturers will host a seal product design and manufacturing course this summer in Columbus, Ohio.

The upcoming course, the first of 2023 for ARPM, is part of a series of courses offered by the organization.

It will offer participants training in rubber science, product seal design (static and dynamic) and producibility.

The course will be led by veteran rubber industry professionals with more than 140 years of combined experience.

Instructors for this course will use best practice documents, ARPM technical guidance documents and ARPM's The Rubber Handbook.

Joe Walker of Elastomer Technologies designed many of the in-person training courses offered by ARPM.

"The quality of a company's associates is directly related to their knowledge of materials, products and processes that are the fundamental backbone of the products that are being delivered to the customer," Walker said. "The ability of these associates—design engineers, commercial teams or process designers—to respond to the voice of their customers is key to your company's reputation in the industry."

Walker added that associates can benefit greatly from the experience of industry experts.

"It is not common to have an assembly of such industry experts as ARPM has gathered to provide this comprehensive series of trainings in sealing technology."
