RAVENNA, Ohio—To quote LeBron James, Ace Laboratories Inc. is "taking its talents to South Beach."
The Northeast Ohio rubber, silicone and polymer testing firm said it had been certified as an approved testing lab for the Miami-Dade Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources. The testing will involve a variety of construction industry tests under ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
"This certification is another key part of our commitment to offering the best testing services in the country for the construction industry," said Erick Sharp, president and CEO of Ace Laboratories. "We are working tirelessly to add more new testing capabilities and equipment over the next few months, including several that very few—if any—other testing labs offer."
Ace already has made major capital investments in its testing capabilities that focus on construction and roofing materials, including coatings, asphalt, bitumen, crack-sealing solutions, caulks and adhesives.
The Miami-Dade Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources is responsible for maintaining and issuing a number of safety certifications, including the approval of construction materials. Ace Laboratories said it will perform tests to ensure products can meet various international standards, including ASTM D6083, ASTM D6694, ASTM D5147 and ASTM D5869.
Ace Laboratories began in 2014, and now boasts more than 30,000 square feet of testing space in Ravenna.
