"This is a rare opportunity to acquire intact and complete processing units for chemical manufacturing," said Stuart Millner, president at IARG.
The plants, he said, are "filled with high-quality specialty equipment" that can be inserted "lockstep" with existing operations.
The liquidation will take place via negotiated sale, and interested parties can schedule plant tours beginning January 2022, Millner added.
Available inventory includes specialty equipment used in accelerator processing, antioxidant processing, additives manufacturing, NaMBT & NaSh manufacturing, and a large tank farm used throughout operations at the facility.
The 18,000-sq.-ft. accelerator processing plant was used to manufacture Cure-Rite 18—a thiocarbamyl sulfonamide rubber accelerator for applications such as tires, molded goods, hoses and conveyor belts.
The inventory further includes a 10,000-sq.-ft. antioxidant processing plant, which manufactured Good-Rite 3114—an antioxidant used in agriculture films and membranes as well as wire and cable and other rubber products.
Also on sale is a 38,000-sq.-ft. additives manufacturing unit that was used to manufacture multiple chemical products, such as StaLite, an additive to general purpose antioxidants for elastomers.
The plant also produced 50 percent NaMBT, a solution of sodium salt used in the manufacturing of tires and similar mechanical rubber goods products.
Additionally, a 4,000-sq.-ft. NaMBT & NaSH production unit is available for sale. The plant produced aqueous solutions used as corrosion inhibitors, chemical intermediates, binding, processing and dyes.
Prospective buyers are also being offered a tank farm, comprising dozens of large storage tanks, from 15,000-30,000 gallons.
