While it might not look like it at first glance, several companies made quite of bit noise in 2022, rattling the ranking in the process. Their stories are there, played out in the sales figures and ranking. And it's available now in the data store as the North America Rubber Rankings bundle.
In addition to the PDF of Top 50 North American Rubber Sales Leaders, the bundle includes a PDF ranking of the World Top 50 Non-tire Rubber Products Makers. Charts that detail sales for publicly held North American companies' sales, operating ratios and sales per employee also are available in PDF form.
Additionally, the bundle includes all of the above assets in reformattable, searchable Excel files.

Meanwhile, here's a look at three companies that shook up the rankings this year and how their stories came together.
Goodyear, the No. 3 tire maker worldwide according to Rubber News' Global Tire Report, is holding on to the No. 3 spot on our ranking of North American rubber products makers.
But could that eventually change?
The Akron-based tire maker sits less than $400 million behind No. 2 Michelin, having closed the gap significantly this year. And there's a good reason: Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.
Goodyear officially brought the Findlay, Ohio-based tire maker into its fold in 2021, meaning the first full-year impact of that acquisition was realized in 2022. And it helped to boost Goodyear's North American sales to the tune of about $2.7 billion. Given that Goodyear, Cooper and their related brands have the greatest success in the North American market, it's no surprise the tire maker made some noise on the ranking this year.
Every year, companies rise and fall on the rankings. But this year, Danfoss scaled them.
The company jumped a whopping 17 spots in the North American ranking thanks to an acquisition of its own. The Eden Prairie, Minn.-based hose maker purchased Eaton P.L.C.'s hydraulic hose business in August 2021.
And that $3.3 billion deal significantly impacted its placement with the first full-year of sales being realized in 2022.
Eaton, after the divestment, maintains some rubber products manufacturing, mainly golf grips. And it, too, managed to hang on to Top 50 spot in North America.
For Holcim it all started with the acquisition of Firestone Building Products in April 2021. And that purchase—along with a few others that have bolstered the business—gave the company a solid positioning on this year's North America ranking.
Globally, the company is listed even higher in the ranking of Top 50 non-tire rubber products makers. And it doesn't have plans to get comfortable in either ranking.
Holcim has big plans for its Building Envelope division, which is expected to hit $4 billion in global roofing product sales by 2025. Should it achieve that aim, it's positioning on the North America and global rankings is likely to continue to change.
