TOKYO—Zeon Corp. has integrated its rubber and latex divisions to improve the quality of services and products offered by the two divisions.
Effective April 1, the new division combines technologies to improve the quality and enhance production, Zeon said in a March 31 statement issued in Japanese.
The two divisions already were part of Zeon's Elastomers business unit and already shared some of the departments such as administration and product technology, Zeon told ERJ in an April 15 statement
"The integration is therefore to improve the quality and the speed of R&D and the efficiency of production equipment, and to strengthen our constitution of the elastomer business," the statement said.
Zeon is undergoing a mid-term management plan, which aims to reinforce competitive elastomers businesses by responding globally to growth markets and raising cost effectiveness.
Zeon's rubber division manufactures styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), butadiene rubber (BR), isoprene rubber, acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), ECO (epichlorohydrin rubber), HNBR (hydrogenated nitrile rubber) and ACM (acrylic rubber).
The latex division supplies SBR latex, polybutadiene rubber (EBR latex), NBR latex, acrylate latex, soap-free latex hydrogenated nitrile rubber latex.
