SINGAPORE—The International Rubber Study Group has a pair of new associate members: Farrel Asia Ltd. and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification.
Farrel Asia Ltd. Is a sales and service location for HF Mixing Group, which unified Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH, Farrel Corp. and Pomini Rubber & Plastics s.r.l. in 2010, according to ISRG. Farrel dates to 1840 as a foundry and equipment manufacturer for the rubber industry.
PEFC, an international non-profit group is a global alliance of national forest certification systems. The group's chain-of-custody certification program tracks rubber and rubber wood from plantation to final product, ISRG said.
IRSG calls itself an "inter-governmental organization with the main objective of improving the transparency of the world rubber market and strengthening the international cooperation on rubber issues."
The ISRG secretariat is based in Singapore.
