ANNAPOLIS, Md.—NAHAD will host its second annual Hose Safety Institute Regional Training on Oct. 5-6 as a digital event.
The program is designed to promote and develop an understanding and adoption of the association's Hose Safety Institute guidelines and best practices in hose design and fabrication, NAHAD said in a news release.
The association, which serves hose and accessories distributors and manufacturers, said attendees will be able to view speakers and also participate in interactive learning sessions during the two-day session.
On Oct. 5, speakers will include:
- Titus Jumper, vice president of business development at JGB Enterprises, who will address "Hose Safety Institute Best Practices & Guidelines";
- Brent Lilly, director of sales and marketing at PT Coupling, whose topic is "Consultative Sales Approach—Partnering with your End-User"; and
- Paul Reilly, owner and president of Tom Reilly Training, who will present a sales workshop on selling in tough times.
The second day of the online training session will start with a talk titled "STAMPED with Group Case Studies," given by Tim Hampton, product sales manager with Parker-Hannifin Corp.
Following that will be two breakout sessions. One will cover "Lean & Kaizen Model," which will be led by Brad Hoffman, vice president of operations at GHX Industrial, and Julio Cardozo, the firm's corporate operational excellence manager.
The second will be on "Hydraulic Circuit Training," led by Jyotsna Phadke, a senior training specialist with Eaton Hydraulics.
Both breakout sessions will be repeated so all attendees can participate in both programs.
