ANNAPOLIS, Md.—NAHAD has moved the location of its 2021 Annual Meeting & Convention to Scottsdale, Ariz.
The event had been scheduled for June 12-15 in San Diego. It now will be held on the same dates, but at the Fairmont Scottsdale, Ariz. The convention will have the same program as was originally scheduled, according to a statement from the Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution.
"It was very clear to the NAHAD leadership that our members want to get back to meeting face to face for our Annual Convention," said Sam Petillo, NAHAD's president, and host of this year's event. "With so much uncertainty remaining regarding restrictions in California and the explosion of vaccine availability, we made the decision to move the event to a location that would work exceptionally well for NAHAD."
The convention will include five General Session speakers, the Showcase of Hose Solutions exhibit and multiple networking opportunities. NAHAD also has included additional time for suppliers and distributors to host company meetings and interact with each other directly. The location will have ample outdoor venues for expanded footprints for NAHAD's hospitality events hosted by its manufacturer members.
"The Fairmont Princess will offer the NAHAD membership what they have come to expect from a NAHAD program: relevant education, ample networking, and the opportunity to connect hundreds of manufacturers and distributors all in one place," said Molly Alton Mullins, NAHAD executive vice president.
She said the response has been excellent since members were notified of the change in venue.
