TOKYO—Bridgestone Corp. will increase global hose capacity by 30 percent through its Bridgestone NCR Co. Ltd. subsidiary, the Japanese group announced in an Aug. 5 report.
The subsidiary is expected to increase global capacity by the first quarter of 2026, the company said.
First production from the $36 million investment project is slated to come on stream by mid-2025.
Bridgestone said the move would "strengthen the profit structure" of its non-tire diversified products business.
Rayong, Thailand-based Bridgestone NCR currently employs 387 people in the manufacture and sale of hydraulic hose, automotive hose and conveyor belts.
Bridgestone hydraulic hose products are widely used in construction, mining and other industrial applications.
