SOUTHAMPTON, Pa.—AdvantaPure Inc., a pharmaceutical and biotech tubing company, has introduced a new line of overmolded pump tubing that the company said is ideal for use in peristaltic pump systems.
AdvantaPure's Gore Sta-Pure pump tubing is intended for single-use biopharm applications. The company said the new system, which overmolds the Gore Sta-Pure tubing onto any of AdvantaPure's AdvantaSil tubing, a platinum-cured line of tubing.
Gore Sta-Pure pump tubing is manufactured with a patented composite of platinum-cured silicone rubber and ePTFE, offering "durability, reliability and consistent performance," according to the company.
The company said the tubing serves as the long-lasting element of the peristaltic pump, and is ideal for high pressure uses. In addition, the tubing system minimizes the risk of tubing rupture; lasts up to 70 times longer in pumps than extruded silicone tubing, enabling long production cycles; provides process stability and consistent flow rates, and outperforms silicone in flow-rate decay; and supports sterile fluid processing.
The new tubing systems comes in a variety of sizes, and an extractables test package is available upon request.
AdvantaPure is a division of NewAge Industries and also specializes in container closure systems, single-use tubing manifolds and other molded components for the biopharm industry. Products are manufactured, stored and shipped using methods designed to ensure product purity.
NewAge became 100-percent employee-owned in 2019. The company said it is a solar-powered, zero landfill organization committed to minimizing its environmental impact.
