MELKSHAM, England—Avon Rubber P.L.C. signed a 10-year contract by the NATO Support & Procurement Agency to supply FM50 mask systems, powered and supplied air systems, filters, spare parts and accessories.
The company expects to receive the first order under the contract "shortly," the English rubber goods manufacturer said in an Aug. 19 statement.
"I am delighted that Avon Protection's ... expertise in respiratory protection has been recognized by NATO through this contract award," CEO Paul McDonald said.
The award, McDonald added, was in line with Avon's strategy to broaden its customer base and maximize the value from its current portfolio.
"We are looking forward to partnering closely with this valued customer and supporting the wider NATO alliance," he said.
