TOKYO—Natural rubber futures closed higher in Japan and Singapore last week, with generally quiet trading activities.
Natural rubber futures close higher amid Lunar New Year
In Japan, OSE rubber futures added 2 percent week-on-week, while SICOM futures grew 2.1 percent during the trading week ended Jan. 27.
The weekly trading volume in Singapore fell sharply as the Chinese markets were closed for the Lunar New Year, according to Japan's Stock Exchange in its weekly NR report Jan. 30.
The market sentiment, JPX said, remains "firm and positive" since the Chinese government relaxed travel restrictions and changed its zero COVID-19 policy earlier in January.
SHFE and INE markets resumed trading Jan. 30.
