TOKYO—Kuraray's elastomers business unit will raise the prices for range of materials in all regions beginning Feb. 1 or as existing supply agreements allow.
The increase of 10 cents per pound covers all of the company's Septon, Hybrar and TU-Polymer elastomers, the company said in a Jan. 12 statement.
The move follows a similar round of price hikes on the same elastomers, introduced by Kuraray at the start of December last year.
The company said increasing feedstock prices, utility and logistics costs had been much higher than estimated.
"This time, it is necessary again to recover a portion of these increases to ensure ongoing supply and new product innovation," Kuraray said.
