PARIS—Hutchinson S.A. could cut its global work force by almost 3,000 jobs, according to trade union the French Democratic Confederation of Labour. The move, a statement said, could impact 1,000 employees in France.
Although it's unclear when the jobs would be cut, the union noted that it would be "before operational activities return to normal in 2023."
Union officials rejected Hutchinson's proposal, saying that the company should provide a visible strategy for financial stability as well as "an urgent listing of employees situation."
European Rubber Journal has reached out to Hutchinson for comment.
