VIENNA—Wittmann Group has expanded its robot production site in Hungary by taking over a neighboring building in Mosonmagyarovar, a move that provides it with another 32,200 square feet for operations.
Thomas Wittmann, managing director for the site, said in a news release that the facility produces smaller robots with a capacity of up to 12 kilograms. It also makes C90 and C140 temperature controllers, designed for the European market.
The plant also makes SmartPower and EcoPower injection molding machines to support the main production in Austria.
With the acquisition, Vienna-based Wittmann also will have land for eventual expansion in Mosonmagyarovar, the company said.
