STUTTGART, Germany—Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has started construction on a new, highly automated European service center at its Stuttgart-Gartringen headquarters, the company announced June 17.
The "sustainably designed" building will have a floor space of 14,000 square meters and is scheduled for completion in April 2023.
The facility will offer industry-specific solutions, such as cleanroom handling for the semiconductor and health care and medical industries, sub-assembly for the fluid power and off-highway industries, and nano-strength coatings for the food, beverage & water industry.
The services will include various quality assurance processes, TSS said.
The center includes room for future expansion and will be equipped with an intralogistics automation system to streamline the logistics processes.
The building is powered by both solar and renewable energy systems. Charging stations for electric vehicles are planned, according to TSS president Peter Hahn.
The facility will have a "flexible and modular room layout" to offer an innovative working environment, he said.
