ATLANTA—TireHub L.L.C. has expanded into a new market for the first time in its brief history, opening a TireHub Logistics Center in Fort Myers, Fla.
The 50,000 sq.-ft. facility is the wholesale distributor's 69th logistics center in the U.S.
Peter Gibbons, CEO of TireHub, the joint venture between Bridgestone Americas Inc. and Goodyear, said that expanding into a new market within the first year of business "is a milestone that we are incredibly proud of."
The facility, which is being leased, has seven full-time employees, and according to a spokesperson, TireHub has plans to hire a few more.
TireHub launched in July 2018. The Fort Myers location, like all locations, will have access to the full passenger and light truck tire product lines from the Goodyear and Bridgestone companies, including Bridgestone, Goodyear, Dunlop, Firestone, Fuzion, Kelly and LeMans, as well as Toyo and select Goodyear and Kelly commercial tires.
