VRANJE, Serbia—Turkish automotive fluid systems manufacturer Teklas Automotive has opened a new production facility in Vranje, in Serbia's southeastern town of Vladicin Han.
The factory has been built on the former production site of Italian footwear manufacturer Geox, which closed last August, the Serbian Development Agency said in a March 14 announcement.
The plant currently employs 300 people and is expected to create 1,500 jobs at full capacity.
This is Teklas' second production facility in Vranje, where it manufactures fluid management systems for traditional, hybrid and electric vehicles.
