QUANZHOU CITY, China—Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical Co. plans to expand carbon black production capacity at its Quanzhou City plant in the southeastern Chinese province of Fujian.
The company reported on March 3 that local authorities approved the environmental impact assessment on the project to add an 80,000-metric-ton facility.
The $75 million (543 million yuan) investment in Quanhui Petrochemical Industrial Park, will include two rubber carbon black lines each with production capacities of 40,000 tons each.
