ATLANTA—Semperit A.G. Holding is set to boost growth in the industrial sector with its latest expansion.
The Vienna-based company opened a new manufacturing facility for rubber gaskets in Newnan, Georgia, which will also serve as the polymer group's new North America headquarters.
As part of the $10 million investment, Semperit moved its existing headquarters and distribution center from Stone Mountain to Newnan within the state of Georgia and added two new production lines for the manufacture of sealing components at the 150,000-sq.-ft. site.
Based in the Coweta County Industrial Park, the new plant has created 70 new jobs and is supplied "entirely by renewable energy sources," Semperit said in a recent news release.
The facility produces building facade seals, window gaskets, and road and bridge expansion joints, while offering distribution space for the full range of sealants, conveyor belts and hose products.
