COLUMBUS, Ohio–Saip, the Italy-based polyurethane machinery maker, plans to open a new warehouse and technology hub in Columbus. It anticipates the U.S. market will account for 30 percent of its sales within two years.
"As complete turnkey solutions in the PU industry are gaining traction, I believe our portfolio will fit the rapidly evolving needs of this growing market," company Pesident Walter Pozzi said.
Without providing further details about the size or capacity of the facility, Pozzi added that it will complement Saip's activities across the Atlantic.
"Saip is already a player in North America, in different fields, such as insulated metal panels, commercial refrigeration panels and technical articles" he said.
A team of engineers and technicians will support sales, according to Commercial Director Luca Ceresa. His goal is to create a "network of solid, and complementary partnerships that will provide broad access across the North American market."
