The company did not disclose how much capacity the new facility brings online, but did note that the location of the facility allows it to more effectively grow its manufacturing. Sedziszow Małopolski, SaarGummi said, offers an excellent work force for both production and technical areas.
"For the region, it will increase employment (and) attractiveness of jobs because our production requires highly educated technical groups, and we will cooperate with the local environment, local schools, local universities to achieve this goal," Piotr Gaska, SaarGummi Group chief operating officer, said in a statement. "I am impressed by the local support for our investment from the authorities and future business neighbors."
SaarGummi, eight months ago laid the foundation stone for the new facility, and—as part of phase one of the project—leased a 107,600-sq.-ft. hall.
