FORT WORTH, Texas—With a $21 million investment, Junchuang North America Inc. is bringing its precision plastics molding and LSR solutions for the EV market to the Lone Star State.

Junchuang has secured an existing 55,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing and industrial facility at an industrial park in the southern area of Forth Worth for the brownfield project.

The facility—to feature specialty precision plastics molding and liquid silicone rubber product manufacturing—is expected to create more than 120 jobs over the next several years.

"Fort Worth offers a strategic location with a robust business environment and a skilled work force," said Vinson Yang, president and CEO of Junchuang North America Inc. "The city's commitment to supporting technological advancements and sustainable solutions aligns perfectly with our vision.

"We are excited to establish our presence here and contribute to the growth of the local economy."

The Fort Worth plant will offer "cutting-edge solutions" to the EV market, specifically using high tonnage injection molding, complex insert molding and LSR assembly for EV electronics, drivetrains and batteries.

The company plans to leverage plastic over the use of steel.

"By utilizing plastic in place of steel, the company provides adaptable plastic parts that align with the lightweight automobile trend helping achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals," the company stated in a July 25 release.

JC Group—the overarching company under which Junchuang North America exists—has OE contracts with Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford and Mazda.

The company serves other OEs in Europe and China.

Suzhou Junchuang Auto Technologies Co. Ltd. was established in 2005 and is based in Mudu Town, Suzhou City, Jiangsu, China.

Junchuang said the Fort Worth Economic Development Team and the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership were critical to the Texas expansion, which will serve as Junchuang's North American headquarters moving forward.

"We are thrilled that Junchuang North America Inc. is expanding to Fort Worth," said Robert Allen, CEO of the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership. "Our collaborative efforts with the city of Fort Worth's Economic Development team and Stream Realty have helped pave the way for this significant investment, which will enhance our region's manufacturing capabilities and create high-quality jobs."

Robert Sturns, Fort Worth Economic Development director, said the North Texas region is becoming a central hub for sustainability initiatives, including those related to EV production and EV component manufacturing.

"With MP Materials coming online soon here in Fort Worth and the nearby GM assembly plant in Arlington, our city is well-positioned to be a key player in this evolving industry, and we join the FWEDP in welcoming JCNA to the area," Sturns said.
