ERIE, Pa.—Eriez Manufacturing Co. has completed an expansion near its headquarters site in Northeast Pennsylvania.
The separation technologies company's Wager Road facility is located about 15 miles from the company's world headquarters in Erie.
"The expanded space will support Eriez' strategic growth initiatives for global research and development (R&D), aftermarket repair and testing, and recycling equipment technology," the company said.
Eriez purchased the Wager Road site in 2011 and broke ground on the 38,000-sq.-ft. expansion in January 2020. The added space also includes room for another manufacturing bay and brings the total square footage to 148,000.
Eriez said the new bay has three distinct business purposes. They include a new recycling test center, additional floor space for aftermarket repairs, and a new electronics laboratory to house "next generation electronics product development activities."
Tim Gland is vice president and general manager for Eriez-USA.
"The expanded repair, testing, demonstration and R&D areas will allow us to complete even bigger projects and pilot tests, speed up and enhance product development activities, and offer additional aftermarket repair capabilities with faster turnaround times," he said in a statement.
Eriez product line includes magnetic lift and separation, metal detection, fluid recycling, flotation, materials feeding, screening, conveying and controlling equipment. Industries served include rubber, plastics, recycling, metalworking, packaging, food, mining, aggregate, textile and power industries.
