CORREGGIO, Italy—Mobility is changing—or, charging anyway. Because the industries operating in the mobility sphere continue to embrace electrification.
So is Dow Inc.
And to better serve its mobility partners, Dow opened its first MobilityScience Innovation Studio in Europe, its third globally.
"Electrification is the future of mobility," said Ryan Smith, global marketing director for Dow MobilityScience, "and Dow's unique breadth of chemistry knowledge will provide much of the toolbox needed by our global partners in mobility."
Located in Correggio, the new studio positions Dow's engineers to better serve OEMs and their suppliers with more sustainable solutions that better fit an electrified automotive landscape across Europe.
"Dow is thrilled to commemorate the opening of the first MobilityScience Innovation Studio in Europe," Smith said in a statement. "This investment in Correggio, Italy, will serve as a hub for Dow's technical and commercial experts to connect with the European mobility industry and drive forward the necessary investments to ensure global success in the burgeoning EV market."
In addition to the Correggio facility, Dow operates two MobilityScience Studios—in Midland, Mich., and Lake Jackson, Texas. They offer collaborative workspaces for acoustic and powertrain testing capabilities, allowing Dow to tailor noise, vibration and harshness and sealing, powertrain and fluid transfer system options.
