ALLENTOWN, Pa.—Brenntag North America Inc. has opened a new Coatings and Construction Technology and Innovation Center in Allentown, saying the operation gives its customers in the U.S. and Canada access to more inventive solutions.
"We are committed to invest our technical and innovative capabilities to … drive strong growth with our strategic supplier partners," said Steven Terwindt, chief operating officer of Brenntag North America.
The Coatings and Construction Center is the most recent addition to Brenntag North America's Technology and Innovation Hub, which also includes food and nutrition, personal care and home care.
The new center will be led by "industry experts" and chemists with the charge of easing formulation and application challenges associated with adhesives, coatings, elastomers and sealants, according to the company. The center also will offer raw material evaluations and product testing.
"Our move from the original North Wales (Pa.) location to … Allentown allowed us to redesign and utilize a larger, more efficient space, with state-of-the-art equipment," said Robert Souerwine, the technical director of coatings and construction who will lead the center. "Our new technical capabilities will significantly improve our design and testing of coatings and construction applications."
