MUMBAI, India—Apcotex Industries has plans to expand nitrile latex production in India, adding 60,000 metric tons per year at the Indian plants. The project is set for completion in the third quarter of 2022.
Apcotex said in a news release it anticipates further investments to help meet growing demand for nitrile latex. In the coming years, the company plans to implement additional expansion phases to grow annual capacity to 90,000 tons.
According to the company's website, Apcotex has two production facilities in India, in Maharashtra and Gujarat. It has been manufacturing nitrile latex for synthetic rubber gloves for the last couple of years.
Mumbai-based Apcotex manufactures synthetic latex (styrene-butadiene, vinyl pyridine and styrene acrylic latex) as well as synthetic rubber (NBR, HSR, NBR-PVC and NBR powder) in India. The company's range of emulsion polymers are used in a variety of end markets, including construction, tire, footwear, auto components, hoses and industrial rubber applications.
