MISSISSAGUA, Ontario—Alliance Tire Americas Inc. has opened a warehouse in Mississauga, its first in Canada, to serve dealers across the country, with an emphasis on Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime Provinces.
"It's very exciting to be able to support our dealers in eastern Canada with a new warehouse," ATA President Dhaval Nanavati said in a statement. "…Pulling from our warehouse inventory can be a very cost-effective tool for helping their customers address just about any challenge."
The leased facility is located near Toronto Pearson International Airport with ready access to the Canadian national highway system. The size was not disclosed.
The warehouse will stock ATA's range of Alliance-brand farm, forestry and OTR tires. ATA's Galaxy and Primex brands are handled in Canada by Dynamic Tire of Woodbridge, Ontario. Dynamic also markets in Canada the Aeolus truck tire brand that ATA reps in the U.S.
ATA covers Canada from its U.S. headquarters in Wakefield, Mass., with sales representatives in in Drummondville, Quebec, and Warman, Sasketchewan.
The new warehouse complements four that ATA maintains around the U.S., in Houston; Savannah, Ga.; Parkesburg, Pa.; and Los Angeles.
Wakefield, Mass.-based ATA is the U.S. sales and marketing arm of Alliance Tire Group, the India-based producer of agricultural, logging, construction, materials-handling and other OTR tires. ATG in turn is a subsidiary of Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd.
