AGC Chemicals Americas Inc. is expanding its manufacturing site in Thorndale, Pa.
The expansion will increase the site's manufacturing, quality control lab and office space areas by 50 percent, AGCCA officials in Exton, Pa., said in a Jan. 10 news release. The multi-use facility will be configured to meet the growing needs of current business and to accommodate future production increases, they added.
Last year, the firm established its Global Compounds business unit in Exton. Parent firm AGC designated the Thorndale plant for expansion and execution of its plan because of its strong technical capabilities in compounding fluoropolymer resins and because of its large presence in transportation, aerospace, energy, industrial, semiconductors and coatings.
