LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Zeon Chemicals L.P. (ZCLP) has appointed Darrin Roe as vice president, sales and marketing, the firm announced Feb. 10. Roe succeeds Brian Cail, who the corporation appointed President and CEO of Zeon Specialty Materials Inc.
Both appointments are effective March 1, the company said.
Roe has previously served as director of sales at Zeon Chemicals, as well as account manager and business manager of hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR) with the company. Previously, Roe spent nearly 15 years with Hexpol as the company's business development manager.
Zeon Chemicals CEO Michael Recchio expressed confidence in the new vice president's abilities to succeed Cail, a 26-year Zeon veteran, in the position.
"I wish to thank Brian for his tireless leadership of ZCLP's commercial team and initiatives. Brian has deep experience with Zeon's elastomer and specialty materials businesses," Recchio said. "Darrin joined ZCLP in 2014 after a decade-plus at Hexpol and its predecessor companies. Darrin has broad experience with the elastomer industry and has been a trusted partner within Zeon and our customers."
Zeon Chemicals L.P., a U.S.-based subsidiary of Japanese chemicals firm Zeon Corp., specializes in synthetic and specialty elastomers. The company boasts sales of approximately $3 billion between its plans in Kawasaki, Japan; Louisville, Ky; and Singapore, officials said, and employs more than 4,000 people worldwide.
