WAKEFIELD, Mass.—Yokohama TWS (Trelleborg Wheel Service) has appointed industry veteran Lawrence Harmon as regional president North and Central America (NCA).
According to Yokohama TWS, Harmon will drive the NCA business strategy, leading market growth while continuing to develop the commercial team. He will report to President Elio Bartoli.
Harmon has more than 30 years of experience in the tire industry, and Yokohama TWS said he has a "proven track record in sales and marketing leadership" in the industry.
He most recently served as president, global OE business at Yokohama ATG, and the company credits him for building "a strong team" and strengthening customer relationships. He has also served as executive vice president of marketing and sales at the Carlstar Group.
He has held several other senior executive positions at Michelin.
Harmon said his priority in North and Central America "will be on enhancing collaboration with the replacement sales network. With our 'local-for-local' approach, we focus on providing tires and services that empower our customers and address their unique operational needs."
He said his team will work with its dealer network to achieve similar levels of share in the aftermarket. "Leveraging the full potential of our multi-brand portfolio, we are committed to providing tire solutions across agriculture, construction, material handling and two-wheeler markets."
