DALTON, Ga.—Vasu Bala has been promoted to global vice president of technology, research and development and quality for Tiarco L.L.C., a chemical manufacturer in the latex, grease and lubricant, water treatment ,and oil and gas industries.
The promotion took effect Feb. 21.
"We will continue to rely heavily on Vasu to attract and mentor members of Tiarco's technical staff, while developing our current team to exceed the requirements of our customers," said Kevin Nolan, vice president and general manager of Tiarco.
In addition to his other responsibilities, Bala will lead Tiarco's intellectual property and regulatory adherence.
As global technical director for five years, Bala helped Tiarco introduce innovative products and his contributions have assisted Tiarco's market segments, operations, affiliates and subsidiaries.
Bala has worked for Afton Chemical, Cognis-Henkel and BASF.
Tiarco is a subsidiary of Georgia-based Textile Rubber and Chemical Co. Inc.
