BOWIE, Md.—The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has elected four members to its board of directors for the 2024-2027 term and appointed one member to fill a vacant position for the 2024-25 term.
Joining the board for a three-year term are:
- Gary Schroeder, executive vice president of Bob Sumerel Tire Co. in Erlanger, Ky.;
- John Sparks, president of Sparks Commercial Tire Inc. in Findlay, Ohio;
- Sarah Mason, safety manager at Fountain Tire Corp. in Edmonton, Alberta; and
- Chris Rhoades, vice president of BKT Tires in Copley, Ohio.
Jeff Campbell, chief supply officer at Tire Discounters in Cincinnati, will serve a one-year term to fill the vacancy created by Gary MacCausland's move to the position of secretary.
The board members were selected from a slate of candidates, with member voting concluding on Sept. 1.
"TIA is thrilled to welcome these accomplished industry leaders to our board of directors," TIA CEO Richard "Dick" Gust said.
"Their diverse expertise and perspectives will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission of promoting tire safety, technician training, and industry advocacy. We look forward to their contributions and leadership."
