LEXINGTON, S.C.—Chris Beier has joined Spherix Mineral Products as technical director.
A chemist with years of experience in developing products for pigments and coatings, Beier has worked for Holland Colours, Clariant International and the Shepherd Group. He received his doctorate in chemistry from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles) and completed his undergraduate degree with a bachelor's in chemistry from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich.
"Chris is an outstanding addition to the team with his knowledge and experience in R&D, quality assurance and technical development," said Michael J. Renzi, executive director of Spherix Mineral Products. "We are excited to have him join our team."
Beier will look to expand Spherix's product portfolio, helping to guide technology advancement and work with the sales department on educate customers on value-added products.
