SNRA promotes Montasser to VP, replacement sales

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.—Sumitomo Rubber North America (SRNA) has promoted Rob Montasser to vice president, replacement sales, effective Jan. 1.

Darren Thomas, SRNA's CEO and president, announced the promotion, emphasizing it "illustrates SRNA's commitment to advancing key team members throughout our organization in recognition of their contributions."

Thomas lauded Montasser's work with Dunlop motorcycle tires, Falken's sister brand, and said his "tenure, dedication and commitment to both SRNA and our parent company, Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., further established him as the right choice for this position."

Montasser joined SRNA in 2016 as director of sales for Dunlop Motorcycle. Previously, he worked at the motorcycle and retail organizations at Goodyear.

In his new role, Montasser said he will work to increase sales across all lines.

"We have a great team and great products," he said. "I know I am supported by a stellar group of people across SRNA, and I can't wait to jump into my new role and to contribute towards the continued success of the Falken brand and SRNA."
