LEXINGTON, S.C.—Spherix Mineral Products has added to its executive team with the hiring of Marcy Shay as director of business development.
Shay will be responsible for commercial markets and product application at Spherix, as those applications relate to sustainability and performance additives.
"Marcy has over 20 years of experience in the industry and has a proven track record of success," said Michael J. Renzi, executive director of Spherix Mineral Products. "She will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow."
Shay, who has a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Akron, previously worked at Goodyear and Teknor Apex Co., with her Teknor position as director of sales and marketing for the engineered thermoplastics division.
"Marcy's drive and commitment to customers is exemplary, and we are excited to have her on our team," Renzi said.
