MAUMEE, Ohio—Dana Inc., a $10.6 billion company in the powertrain and propulsion system markets, has named Seth Metzger as its next chief technology officer.
Metzger will assume this role, along with his appointment as senior vice president, immediately, Dana said in an Oct. 9 release.
"Seth's deep knowledge of core engineering, systems integration and complete vehicle architecture makes him an ideal choice for this role," said James Kamsickas, Dana chairman and CEO. "As a veteran leader in Dana, he will continue to play an integral and strategic role in setting the company's innovative direction to ensure that Dana is delivering the most advanced traditional, hybrid and electric-vehicle solutions spanning the entire mobility industry."
In taking on the role, Metzger, who has been with the company for more than two decades, succeeds Christophe Dominiak, who is retiring from Dana.
Metzger brings extensive experience in engineering and product development to the new role. He most recently worked with Dana as SVP of electrification. He has served in strategic leadership roles in engineering, including vice president of engineering, light vehicle driveline; vice president, global corporate engineering and electrification; and senior director, core engineering.
Leadership was something that Dana recognized in Metzger early on. He was named a Rising Star by Automotive News in 2020.
