Safic-Alcan names new president

PARIS—As Safic-Alcan S.A.S. celebrates 175 years this year, it also is making changes at the top with Yann Lissillour taking over as the specialty chemical manufacturer's next president.

Lissillour replaces Martial Lecat and Philippe Combette, 33-year veterans of the company, who will continue with Safic-Alcan as members of the Supervisory Board. The transition took place April 1.

"I am very proud to be taking over the leadership of Safic Alcan," Lissillour said. "With my colleagues on the executive committee, and the presence of Martial and Philippe on the Supervisory Board, we will continue the exceptional human and entrepreneurial adventure that is Safic-Alcan.

"I am convinced of the robustness of our model and the unfailing commitment of our teams. Together, we will continue to be a lasting link between all our partners."

Lissillour comes to the post after being in charge of acquisitions since 2016, and as chief operating officer since November 2021.

The company said Combette and Lecat guided the company through a period of strong growth, both organically and externally, and the company remains the only independent French distributor with international reach.

The rest of the executive committe at Safic-Alcan will comprise Jean-Michel Guyon, Philippe Cenraud, Jose Lora and Juliette Gamez.
