CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio—The Rubber News team is growing again.
As the publication enters its 51st year, the staff remains focused on delivering the highest quality industry news and finding the best ways to reach our readers through digital and print platforms. Moving forward, with three new staff members—Sam Cottrill, Erin Sloan and Christine Kazimer—will help shape the direction.
Cottrill joined the Rubber News team Sept. 20, stepping into the role of online content editor/reporter. In this position, she will oversee the daily management of RN's digital publications and social media. Additionally, she'll help to cover industry news for the print issue and the website.
Prior to joining Rubber News, Cottrill worked as a reporter and copy editor for the Chagrin Valley Times and Geauga Times Courier, weekly publications based in the Cleveland suburb of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. In addition to reporting on several communities and public school districts, she also managed the papers' website, community features and social media.
Cottrill started her journalism career as an intern with the business-to-business publishing company, GIE Media Inc., where she reported on horticulture trends and trades for Garden Center, Nursery Management and Greenhouse Management magazines.
