R.D. Abbott adds Gabriel Rodriguez to Mexico team

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco, Mexico—R.D. Abbott Co. Inc. has tapped Gabriel Rodriguez to be the next senior account manager for the Mexican subsidiary of the materials, science and engineering company.

Rodriguez, a 20-year industry veteran, accepted the position with R.D. Abbott de Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V., based in the western-central portion of the country, Jan. 1.

"Gabriel joins us with nearly 20 years of commercial experience selling manufacturing and processing equipment to industrial manufacturers," said Greg Hrenya, vice president of business development and president of R.D. Abbott de Mexico. "We are pleased to have Gabriel as part of our team, and look forward to the value he will provide to our customers as they seek innovative solutions."

Rodriguez will be charged with developing business relationships, increasing sales growth and offering technical support for customers in the northern territories of Mexico.

He has experience in account management and has launched products and technologies for Intralox Mexico (belting), Haas Automation (processing equipment) and Multivac Mexico (processing equipment).

The company has warehouses throughout North America.

Additionally, Rodriguez has developed power generation projects for Caterpillar Mexico, and spent time with Iron Workers Union No. 24.

R.D. Abbott Mexico distributes materials from Arlanxeo, including ESBR, CR, IIR, HIIR and EPDM, among many other polymers.

R.D. Abbott also is the lone authorized distributor of Dow Silastic silicones in Mexico.

And starting June 25, R.D. Abbott also will be an exclusive distributor of Cancarb Ltd.'s Thermax-brand thermal carbon black in Mexico.

R.D. Abbott began in 1948 and is based in Garden Grove, Calif. Its manufacturing subsidiary is NovationSi, based in Barberton, Ohio.
