DES PLAINES, Ill.—Rodrigo Flores has been promoted to an engineering technician at Rahco Rubber Inc., a family owned company that has been growing with its existing customers and adding clients.
Flores's new responsibilities include working with press operators to optimize processes, assisting in product launches, ensuring safe work practices, and assessing mold and tooling conditions.
Flores also will have a role in planning, analyzing, and controlling the quality of rubber molded products for the lean manufacturer.
This position has a significant impact on overall equipment effectiveness, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction, according to Rahco President Steve Anton, who said Flores is the right person for the job.
"Rodrigo has a BA in Computer Science, an outstanding mechanical aptitude and has impressed us since joining our company in 2017," Anton said in a news release. "We are very glad to promote from within and have younger people be passionate about our business."
Founded in 1972, Rahco Rubber manufactures gaskets, O-rings, battery straps, electrical ties, feeding nipples, milking inflators and cleaning tips for the plumbing, agriculture, energy, food service, transportation, marine, electronics and appliance markets.
"For nearly 50 years, Rahco Rubber has been and continues to be a family owned and operated company, focused on delivering value-added solutions, developing custom formulations, and molding the most challenging precision rubber components. Rodrigo's promotion reflects the values of the Antons: giving people an opportunity to succeed and grow," Rahco Rubber Engineering Director Sean Cunningham said in the release.
