HOUSTON—Orion Engineered Carbons S.A. has made changes to the roles of three members of its executive management team.
The firm appointed Pedro Riveros senior vice president, global rubber carbon black and general manager for the Americas. He joined the firm in 2019 and previously held the positions of SVP/GM for the Americas. He now will be responsible for the global rubber carbon black product line in addition to his responsibilities, which included all aspects of the Americas region.
Riveros replaces Erik Thiry, who has left the company to pursue other business interests.
Sandra Niewiem has been named senior vice president, global specialty carbon black and general manager for the EMEA region. She joined the company in 2019 and was previously the firm's vice president of global product management and business development for specialty carbon black.
Finally, Michael Reers has been appointed the firm's chief administration officer, previously serving as the firm's senior vice president and group controller. He has been with Orion since September of 2012.
