HOUSTON—Orion Engineered Carbons S.A. plans to make changes within its executive management team, beginning next month.
As part of the restructuring operation, Carlos Quinones will join the company as senior vice president of global operations, on June 3. Quinones has more than 25 years of experience in the chemicals industry, having previously worked with Arco Chemical, Rohm and Haas/Dow Chemical, Praxair and Air Products and Chemicals.
Most recently, according to his LinkedIn profile, Quinones served as director of industrial gases Americas operations at Air Products.
"Carlos has deep chemical manufacturing experience across a number of operations including high temperature reactions, waste heat optimization and high reliability systems," Orion CEO Corning Painter said in a statement.
In his new position, Quinones is expected to strengthen Orion's plant productivity and reliability.
Meanwhile, Pedro Riveros has been appointed as senior vice president and general manager for the Americas region.
Riveros, who has a long career at Air Products and Chemicals under his belt, will step into his new role on June 3. He has held a number of business and general management roles at Air Products and most recently served as the company's director of strategy, technology and sourcing for the Americas Region.
On June 10, Patrick Tuttle will join the Orion top management team as SVP global human resources on June 10. He previously worked as vice president and chief human resources officer for welding supplies specialist ESAB.
The new team members will be based in Orion's principal executive offices in Houston.
