MONROVIA, Calif.—CMA L.L.C. has hired Aaron Murphy to be senior vice president of the North American subsidiary of China's Double Coin Holdings Ltd.
Murphy, vice president of commercial sales for TBC Corp. for the past six years, is replacing industry veteran Walt Weller, who will retire from his role as senior vice president July 31. Weller will transition to a consultant for CMA.
Murphy has been on the CMA board since July 1. He already has spent time at the firm's Monrovia office, meeting with the team and working with all departments.
This marks Murphy's second stint with Double Coin. He previously served as vice president of the tire maker from 2005-2015.
"Aaron's appointment is the culmination of a robust planning process," CMA President Mike Yang said. "A decisive and energetic leader with deep expertise, Aaron is a recognized authority, and we're happy to welcome him back at CMA."
CMA said Murphy, who is based in Florida, will focus on developing the sales teams and strategies in North America as well as supporting corporate objectives in order to support growth.
"Returning to a company you help lead for many years is a special honor and experience," Murphy said. "Double Coin has taken great strides in the market in recent years, and I'm excited to assist in continuing the forward momentum."
Murphy began his career in 1996 with Bridgestone Firestone.
