NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Bridgestone Americas Inc. has tapped Wade Munday as its director of corporate philanthropy and social impact, a newly created role to advance the tire maker's social impact strategy and philanthropic programs.
Munday has 15 years of experience working with non-profits and corporate trusts, and will be placed in charge of the Bridgestone Americas Trust.
"Bridgestone remains committed to the communities where we move, live, work and play through our Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund, and the generous contributions and volunteer efforts of our teammates," said Sara Correa, chief marketing officer for Bridgestone Americas. "Philanthropy and social impact continue to play a crucial role in fulfilling the Bridgestone E8 Commitment as we continue our progress towards becoming a sustainable solutions company."
Munday most recently served as co-director of the not-for-profit Addis Clinic, which makes health care access available to African communities.
"Wade will be a tremendous asset to the company's philanthropic initiatives and brings strong perspective and experience that can show how we are focused on 'What Really Matters,' " Correa said.
