BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Motion Industries Inc. has announced changes at the top with the promotions of two company veterans to executive vice president.
Effective April 1, James Howe will take over as executive vice president of eCommerce, sales excellence, strategic pricing and corporate accounts; and Joe Limbaugh will assume the role of executive vice president of supply chain, operations support, marketing and enterprise excellence.
"With their expertise and substantial achievements, James and Joe are both proven, integral leaders and key to Motion's success," said Motion Industries President Randy Breaux. "Both promotions are well-deserved, and we look forward to seeing continued company success under their guidance."
Howe, who has been with the company since 2002, previously served as senior vice president of eCommerce, sales excellence and strategic pricing throughout 2020. As of Jan. 1, 2021, he added the corporate accounts group to his responsibilities.
Limbaugh, with Motion since 1983 when the company was based in Bourbonnais, Ill., has held both field and corporate positions. He previously served as senior vice president for procurement and inventory, distribution center operations and productivity, branch support, facilities and lease management and marketing strategy.
Under his leadership, Motion put in its first "goods-to-person" retrieval system in Birmingham, resulting in a 540-percent production increase.
