BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Lisa Solomon has been promoted to senior vice president of corporate accounts at Motion Industries Inc.
According to the global distributor of power transmission and fluid power products, Solomon's experience and success in previous roles at Motion earned her the promotion.
She will report to James Howe, executive vice president, e-commerce, sales excellence, strategic pricing and corporate accounts.
"Lisa has been very successful in the area vice president role and has emerged as a peer leader for our AVPs across North America," Howe said in an Aug. 1 release. "Her leadership and significant experience will further strengthen corporate accounts and maximize growth potential.
"She is well-deserving of her new and expanded position."
The new role will give Solomon responsibility over all North American corporate accounts
Solomon was hired by Motion in 2015 as a business development manager focused on an automotive industry accounts.
She later worked as an automotive specialist and as corporate accounts manager for the automotive segment.
Sixteen employees reported to her when she served as area vice president.
