BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Motion Industries Inc. has promoted John Watwood to vice president of operations integration.
Watwood previously served as vice president and group executive for the southeast region for Motion, a distributor of maintenance, repair and replacement parts for a range of industries. He started working at Motion in 2008.
The promotion is effective immediately.
Watwood will lead Motion's distribution and fulfillment network, reporting to Joe Limbaugh, executive vice president of supply chain, operations support and marketing.
"John's experience, aptitude and tenure make him uniquely qualified to lead in these important areas, and we are excited to have him on board," Limbaugh said. "We look forward to seeing the impact of John's influence."
Watwood has two decades of experience in sales and operations roles in manufacturing and distribution, also leading an important pilot project for Motion. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
